THOSE wanting to get active and try a version of walking football – soccer – have the chance to try for free.

Between January and June, a pilot program is being rolled out in Lyons electorate, with ongoing playing sessions to be held on a fortnightly basis in New Norfolk, Triabunna, Nubeena, Sorell, St Mary’s, Campbell Town, Oatlands and Bothwell.

The first event will be held at Oatlands District High School on Saturday, January 21.

Designed for men and women aged 20 to 80 years plus, the walking version of soccer is a good way to keep
fit and have fun.
