$17,000 raised all in a day’s ride

THEY did it! At the weekend the Tim Blair Run for Kids Foundation completed a grueling 24 hours straight of riding gravity laps on the Maydena Bike Park.

The challenge has so far raised more than $17,000 to help children with cancer.

The challenge saw park CEO Simon French and general manager Rhys Ellis join Tim Blair for 24 hours of non-stop Maydena Bike Park descents. Last year’s event saw the trio complete 16 laps (100km of descending) in 15 hours, which pushed the team very close to their limit.

This year Ellis and French completed 27 full-mountain laps, tallying up to over 22,000 vertical metres of descending. Blair joined the pair for the majority of laps.
