THE Lions Derwent Valley Community Carols in the Park will be the first event on the new stage at the Esplanade.

The stage will be officially opened by Derwent Valley Council at 4pm this Friday, December 9, and our free carols event will begin with kids’ activities at 6pm.

Our Merry Christmas raffle tickets are going fast and there’s not long to go! There are only three selling days left: Friday, December 9, and Friday, December 16, outside the Guardian Chemist and Thursday, December 15, in the Woolies foyer. Tickets are also online 24/7 on our Raffleink page.

They can also be purchased by phoning Lion Greg Hudson on 0418 127 439. We’ll also be selling at Bunnings, Glenorchy on Friday, December 9, and Friday, December 16.

Our 1.5kg Christmas cake is $19, our 1kg cake is $15 and our 900gm Christmas Pudding is $15.
