Six of the best for coach Coppleman

HELD at the Valley Sports Bar on Saturday night, May 28, the Molesworth Cricket Club concluded the 2021/22 season when it conducted its trophy presentations.

The stand out for the season for Molesworth I was club coach Brad Coppleman who collected six trophies. Coppleman had a great season making 472 runs in the 50-over roster with an excellent average of 42.91 and also collected 18 wickets.

For Molesworth II, Hayden O’Keefe took home three trophies. O’Keefe was awarded both batting awards and also the best player award the Danny Godfrey Memorial Trophy. Young Nick Ransley showed his ability taking home three trophies, one being the Stephen Gray best under-21 player.

Ransley has shown much promise and is certainly a future captain when his time comes around. Of the club’s two teams, Molesworth I won six and lost six finishing fifth just missing out on finals. In the T20s they did very well making the grand final finishing runners up. Well done to Captain Daniel Coppleman. Molesworth II had a tough season not recording a victory in the 50-over format but won two of three matches and made finals in the T20 roster.

Well done to Captain Ben Triffett leading the side. Well done to the club’s office bearers and committee.
