NEW Norfolk housing development The Mills has announced the release of 23 new house-and-land packages.

Norfolk Views will be made up of a mix of three and four-bedroom, two-bathroom and double-garage homes, catering to the demand in New Norfolk from families seeking to get a foothold in this fast growing area.

House and land packages will start at $603,000.

Project director Roger Noble said he expected the strong interest shown in the previous stage to continue.

“Greater Hobart’s housing market is showing no signs of slowing down, and it’s great to see that the desire for families to set up a life in New Norfolk is as strong as ever,” Mr Noble said.
“Our first stage sold out well ahead of schedule, and we are expecting to see a similar level of interest in this new stage.
“It’s clear that more and more people are realising that New Norfolk and the Derwent Valley has so much to offer, particularly for families, and we’re delighted to release more opportunities to join the wonderful community here.”

The Mills development includes more than 700 homes, with 545 residential and 186 retirement living homes.

The plans include a 100-bed private hospital, a commercial co-op precinct, a 100-bed boutique hotel, a childcare centre and a community park.
