THE Hobart United Southern Championship men’s team continued their winning form at the start of the season, prevailing 5-2 in another high-scoring game, this time against Metro FC.
The Round 2 clash of the Summer Cup was played on Friday evening at North Chigwell Oval, and despite conceding early, United were able to walk away with a victory.
Elhadi Eldayar scored the equaliser in the first half, before John Buga and a Metro own goal took the score to 3-1.
Metro narrowed the deficit in reply, before Jal David and Moses Khasif scored a goal apiece to settle the game at 5-2.
United now sit on top the Pool B table for the Summer Cup, taking five points from their win, and two from last week’s draw that was subsequently won via a penalty shootout.
Hobart United’s next game in the Summer Cup will be played at 6pm on Wednesday evening at KGV Football Park, when they will face Clarence Zebras FC.
