CHILD and Family Learning Centres around Tasmania on September 17 celebrated 10 years of supporting families and their children from birth to five years.
All 12 centres around the state held a day of celebration acknowledging this milestone and contribution to communities. It included pre-recorded messages from guest speakers that were played in each centre on the day.
At Ptunarra – which was one of the last centres to open in 2013 – parents and children joined with past and current staff members, volunteers and guests.
Four New Norfolk High School students went along to assist with child minding during the presentations.
Suzanne Purdon, who was the first centre leader at New Norfolk, said: “It was wonderful to visit and see the Child and Family Learning Centre thriving.”
